Our GBS Penetrating Concrete Sealer works on concrete that is clean, dry, porous, and neutral pH that has not been previously sealed or painted. If your stain has not been sealed and it complies with the other requirements mentioned, then it should work. One way to test is to dip your fingers in a glass of water and spritz onto the concrete in 4-5 different areas, then watch to see what happens. If the droplets soak in and darken the concrete, then our sealer will also penetrate. If, however, the water sits there for 10-15 min or longer, then there probably is a sealer in or on the surface of the concrete. If so, our GBS Penetrating Concrete Sealer will not be able to penetrate. Removing a sealer can be done, but it would probably also affect the stain in some way. Testing is always the best way to determine what will and won't work. We recommend purchasing a small sample first to see how it performs.
