Marmoleum is very durable but just like most hardwoods, it can be scratched or dented if sharp heavy objects are dragged across it or dropped on it. Marmoleum is a resilient floor that will last 30-40 years under the right conditions. It is used in schools and hospitals worldwide for over a century and has even been used on the decks of battleships. Scratches and dents can be buffed out as needed as Marmoleum is a through body product. Unlike laminate that can't be repaired, Marmoleum can be repaired very easily.
