The main difference between Forbo Marmoleum MCT and Modular tiles is the thickness and size. MCT is 2mm thick and Modular is 2.5mm thick. Not really a noticeable difference. The other difference is that Modular comes in 3 sizes-10x10, 10x20, and 20x20 whereas the MCT only comes in 13x13. Also, the Modular tiles come in a larger variety of colors that are not the same as the MCT. MCT was made only 2.0 thick for commercial applications mainly where subfloors are professionally prepared and perfectly flat. The Modular is more of a residential tile that is used in homes where subfloors may not be as perfect and, therefore, require a slightly thicker product.
