Can and should Marmoleum be used as flooring in an elevator that serves as both a passenger and freight? We have construction projects that have to use this elevator for hauling demo materials out of the building on occasion.

If it was just passengers I would not hesitate to recommend Marmoleum sheet or tile, but it was not made for heavy commerical or industrial use with dollies, pallet jacks and lots of abrasion. We would recommend using either porcelain tile or vinyl tile.
