I pulled up my rug, the plywood / flooring is even and seams are not snug. Will this flooring work in this area?

No. If you've any kind of seams and/or gaps you should not install glue-down sheet flooring, as the sheet is not thick enough to hide gaps. You need a completely flat, completely smooth floor for a glue-down sheet installation.If you wanted to keep on the Marmoleum route, you could consider the thicker Marmoleum Click Cinch Loc floor instead.
