Simply use two pieces for the treads and add a woodlock stair nosing that snaps to the front edge. You may also use it for the riser. This assumes you have an enclosed staircase with walls on both sides. If you have an open staircase, there is no way for the stair nosing to be returned along the short end of the stair tread.When you order your flooring, ask the eco-advisor to help you figure out how much to order. The stair nosings come 6' long and are made to order, not returnable and take about two weeks to make and ship. They will coordinate well with the color of the flooring.
