These instructions are included with the kit. But if you lose them, this is how the test works.1) Cut the test pads into smaller pieces (recommended to cut 2 pads into 3 pieces each, giving you a total of 6 pads you can use to test up to 6 surfaces).2) Clean all dust, dirt and grease from surface to be tested. Test surface needs to be clean and dry.3) Take one of your small test pads and moisten it with an eyedropper by placing 4 drops of water on the pad. Be careful not to oversaturate the pad.4) Press moistened pad against a single surface you are testing and hold in place for 2 minutes.5) Check pad, if pad color changed to a range between pinkish or dark purple, that means potentially dangerous levels of lead. If the pad is any other color (yellow/orange/tan are common) then there is NOT dangerous lead levels.
