The spec sheet states it is E1 for formaldehyde emissions. Is there an E 0 rating? The Compositek TM document states: "We created an alternative to HDF that has a higher surface density, 1/10 of the surface swelling and a much lower formaldehyde release compared to HDF." Does this mean that formaldehyde is added to make the Compositek TM in this wood flooring?

Yes, there is an E 0 rating it is 0.5% the E 1 rating is 1.0%. Which is the European standard for safe indoor use on furniture, Ect. The HDF does not have added urea Formaldehyde, there is natural occurring formaldehyde in the wood.
