The Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C , Part A does not have the food grade certification but it is non-toxic and does meet European Standards so it certainly could be used on your project. Please note, the part A alone requires 21 days to fully cure. Rubio recommends using the part B because it cures much faster and it becomes more durable as well.
