The most common pest to a wool carpet would be moths and moth larvae. The best defense against moths and larvae is a clean home. Regular vacuuming of your entire carpet (especially in dark spaces under furniture), baseboards, and keeping carpet clean from food, spills, and pet accidents (which moths and other insects love) will keep your carpet pest free without getting into chemicals, fumigation, and other toxic cleaning options.
