Does installation of wool carpet require glue or adhesives and if so do they contain VOCs?

Installation is based on your carpet installer's range of experience. Using a tack strip to secure your carpet to the floor would be enough for most residential installations. The use of glue/adhesive is generally reserved for commercial applications.
