Does the carpet need to be glued? And what is required besides just the carpet, i.e. padding, etc.

You will need a carpet installer to come measure your area so they can tell you what needs to be ordered for them to be able to install it. They will tell you how much pad and carpet to order. Either the Sponge Cushion Full House pad or the J Mish wool pad are able to be used as the pad under the Lanai carpet. You do not need to glue this down. You may order small samples online of any of these to see in person before ordering the final product. It is also a good idea to show your installer these samples so he or she will know exactly what they will be working with.
