Whenever you install wall to wall carpeting that isn't specifically only a glue down carpet (like indoor/outdoor carpet), you will want to use a pad such as the Full House pad or the J Mish wool pad. Pad not only gives comfort to the carpet, but it also gives longer life to the carpet itself. You may order small samples of each online to see and feel in person before purchasing the final rolls of pad to go under your lovely brand new carpet.
