I (apparently) overapplied this product to a sandstone floor and it left a white hazy residue, with opaque white in the crevices of the stone. How do I remove this residue? Also, if I want a more satin finish, can Safecoat Mexeseal be applied over Safecoat Penetrating Waterstop, or does the latter need to be completely removed, and if so, how?

Sorry to hear it. We consulted with AFM's technical expert and he suggests you try a lemon juice acid etch (test this before committing) to remove the residue. Once the residue is removed and your surface is thoroughly rinsed off, you can try putting Mexeseal over the WaterStop (again, test, we sell sample sizes for just this purpose) to shoot for a more satin appearance. This is a bit uncharted for us, good luck!
