Please be sure to follow the manufacturers directions as every floor is different.In principle, it's best not to block the expansion of the floor. It needs to expand and contract with the changes in humidity. If you fill with caulk, the floor may not be able to move sideways so it moves upwards and buckles. Generally expansion gaps are covered with a molding such as a T mold or overlap reducer. There is still wiggle room underneath the molding for the floor to continue to expand as needed. Unfortunately, this is not waterproof should water get underneath. However, it is breathable, so water vapor can escape and dry out over time.
