We are thinking about this carpet in a custom size for our garage that we are converting into a kids bedroom. What type of material goes underneath the carpet to have it super cushiony for little kids to play on/fall down on? What is best for insulation for under this carpet to keep warm during winter months?

For area rugs we offer a Earth Weave Rug Gripper which will provide very little cushion or insulation.
