Based on a previous review, it seems that the Dye used in this product rub's off when handled. Is this true and if yes, for how long can I expect this to happen ?

We are not aware of dyes rubbing off EarthWeave or any other brand of wool carpet fibers. Dyes saturate the wool and may appear to come off along with the wool when it sheds initially, but dyes don't come off by themselves. There is always the outside chance that some other chemicals were on bottom of the shoes or socks that reacted to the dye and picked it up. If so, we have not heard of this over the past 25 years of selling wool carpet.
