Per Kahrs, yes, you can use rugs over the Kahrs floor. They recommend using a backing or pad that is gridded to allow air flow between the rug and wood. You cannot use the dense, memory foam/anti-fatigue, pads or rugs on their floors as they do not allow air flow and will bond to the finish. Please keep in mind when using rugs that it will prevent the wood underneath from changing in tone like the uncovered portion of floor will.
