It�ll stick to the wood and is paintable and the steam or heat won't affect it. But it depends upon how big the gap is. A small �� gap ChemLink products would work for. A larger gap... you'll need to buy a wood filler strip. This answer is also assuming this is for a home and not a spa where the sauna is on most of the day. Also not sure if this is a dry or wet sauna because, keep in mind, there are no biocides/fungicides to stop any mold/mildew growth.
