If I make raised garden beds from untreated wood and apply this on the inside and the Vermont Natural Coatings PolyWhey on the exterior, will the garden bed be as rot-resistant as if I made it from pressure treated wood?

If the wood is dry and the Vermont Natural Coatings product is applied per instructions, it will resist moisture damage. When the water stops pooling or beading on the wood, a recoat of one coat is recommended. There is no way of knowing how this compares to pressure treated wood, as it's never been tested against that product. For the interior of your garden bed, beneath the soil line, we recommend AFM SafeCoat Dynoseal.
