Hi. I'm using my dad's old art metal tanker desk from the '40's and need to replace the top. There is an aluminum ridge along the top, and I think the existing covering is thicker than 2mm. Any suggestions?

The Marmoleum Furniture sheeting comes in 2.0mm thick. It will work well over any desk or countertop provided it can be glued to a flat, smooth, clean surface. If the ridge sticks up above the desk then that would be perfect. If not, you may not need to add anything if you don't mind seeing the exposed edge. If you want to cover the edge contact NY Metal for edging for Marmoleum. Good luck.
