I'm looking at buying a house with a slate roof. The roof has been repaired but I'm worried that it may leak, can I apply this product as a safety that may stop any leaks?

Correct order of operations would involve coating the subroof (the plywood surface beneath your roofing) with a primer, then roofguard, then your actual roofing. As your roof is already covered with slate, there is no way to apply the roofguard over that.
