Dogs' toenails are one of the hardest things on floors as they're "sharp". Even if well cut and manicured, they are still sharp little objects going constantly over a floor. If you have smaller dogs, it'll be much easier on a floor than larger, heavier dogs. But in the end, dog nails are just rough on the floor and you will see marks and wear through time. About the only floor you won't see that on is porcelain tile or concrete. Strand bamboo is strong. But they're walking on the finish of it. So you will see marks. On any floor.
