Seam Tape is designed only to hold Ram Board seams together.
My deck design includes a triple 2x10� supporting beam. Can I use ram board seam tape on the top of the beam to prevent water infiltration? Does the tape have a plastic backing? Will the adhesive backing stick to the 2x10� pressure treated beam long term? Ram Board, Seam Tape Flooring Tools Supplies

Seam Tape is the only tape designed to hold Ram Board seams together. Duct tape won't work, nor will normal box tape, because Ram Board has a water-resistant sealer that won't adhere to those tapes.
