Kahrs hardwood flooring is a highly durable floor that is water resistant but not waterproof. If you have numerous spills from the bathtub or shower and the water will not be cleaned for many hours, you should consider ceramic tile or our Marmoleum sheeting. Also, humidity levels need to be maintained between 30-60% for optimal performance. On the other hand, if the water is occasional and it is cleaned up within minutes, there would be no problem using a Kahrs floor. The instructions from their Floor Care Guide say "Do not use soap, vinegar or detergent solutions on the floor and never use a WET mop or pour water directly onto the floor." Damp mopping is the preferred method where you wring out the mop very well before mopping.
