Unique Carpets recommends the use of a pad of bonded urethane (re-bond) either 3/8� or 7/16� thick and a minimum of 8 lb. density. As an alternative, we offer 100% wool pads from J Mish as well as synthetic rubber pad made by Sponge Cushion Inc. - both of which are much longer lasting and produce no hazardous air pollutants. Samples are available on our website to get a feel for softness and composition.
