Would using this Floor Finish Hand-held Applicator for the whole project of two small rooms create the same results as using the 18-inch lightweight Floor Coater Applicator for most of it and just using this on the edges?

The 18" lightweight floor coater applicator is going to give you the best results, it is weighted to give the floor an even coat through out by give the same amount of pressure during application. The hand-held is more for corners or projects that are smaller in surface area ( that the 18" applicator wouldn't work in.)
