I'm looking for a flooring for my basement. I have had dehumidifier leaks and a hot water heater massive leak across three rooms. I was ready to purchase Lakeshore XPC Luxury Vinyl Plano flooring by Viking Flooring in Northport color/style. Its 7 x 48 plank until I read more about pvc flooring. This does have an aluminum oxide wear layer on top. I always try to buy green products for our health, our inside air quality and the health of the planet, but with all my water issues in the basement, I have almost given up. What would happen to a wood floor if I had another standing water issue or just the humidity in a basement? And, I'm also looking to mimic this color/ look of the Northport.... Can you assist? Thank you!

If you can wait a few months, Amorim is now producing a waterproof cork flooring that is ideal for basements. It is now shipping to the US but we will not be offering it until all colors and styles have arrive in late December or early January. This will be the safest most sustainable water-proof flooring on the market, bar none.
