I have an interior cement basement wall in a rec room that is starting to crumble in places because moisture is coming through. I used drylock 15 years ago and it worked great for years, but boy did it stink! It looks like I need to repeat the process now on a small area of the wall. What less awful product can I use to seal it this time? (It was painted over with Ben Moore latex paint so it does have paint on it) Or could I use drylock and then seal that in, but with what? Thanks in advance!

Our GBS Penetrating Concrete Sealer requires a porous surface so it can penetrate. Any paint on the surface makes it impossible for the sealer to penetrate and therefore, it cannot be used to seal your basement wall. Because Drylock is toxic and water-based, you should be able to apply 2-3 coats of our AFM Safecoat AcriGlaze over the top to block the emissions of VOC.
