Had this product been used initially when the grout was new, the answer would be a firm yes. However, it is unclear whether it will be able to penetrate like it's supposed to since the caulking was previously used. Although the caulk was removed, there may still be some beneath the surface that might prevent the sealer from soaking in and doing its job. Since the grout has molded, it might be best to simply re-grout and then reseal the grout. That way you get a fresh clean start. Removing grout is not that difficult with a Dremel type oscillating tool.
