All resilient floor covering is susceptible to physical damage especially from dragging heavy furniture unless proper precautions are taken. Unlike vinyl, however, Marmoleum sheeting is repairable should it get scratched. When moving heavy objects, the manufacturer recommends the use of plastic sliders (available at all hardware stores) or sheets of Masonite or plywood to protect the floor. Failure to use adequate precautions may result in scratches, cuts or other severe damage to the floor covering. Rolling equipment should have broad, flat wheels with rounded edges and without ridges. Wheel locks should be disengaged prior to moving equipment.
