I have a very old salad bowl made of burl wood. I want to remove the old finish (whatever it was) and re-finish with some food-safe product. Should this product be used in this kind of case as the stripper? And BTW, what do you recommend for the new finish?

While the 600GL will surely work to remove the coatings, it is not meant to be around food. We recommend sanding and then sealing with our Bioshield Cutting Board and Salad Bowl Finish.
