I honestly don't see why not, provided the chickens aren't eating it directly. It's non-toxic, no formaldehyde, ammonia, ethylene glycol, mildewcides, fungicides or exempt solvents & it's safe for everyone, including the chemically sensitive. I would recommend testing first to see how they react to the Safecoat after 24 hours drying time. You could even paint over it, if you wanted to, with a 0 VOC paint.
