Natural Cork Floating Floors  are 1' x 3' (nominal) planks consisting of three layers.

1) The surface layer is 100% cork and is about 5/32" thick.  It has 5 coats of UV-cured acrylic finish which contains no volatile organic compounds.

2) The second layer is made of exterior grade fiberboard that contains no added formaldehyde and is completely waterproof.  It is extremely stable and will not expand or contract even if exposed to damp environments.  This layer has also been redesigned with the famous UniClick system in place of the tongue and groove system of fastening.

Our new JointShield edge moisture protection system ensures that water spills and frequent mopping do not damage your floor. This protective paraffin-oil based treatment is applied to the entire edge of the panel and completely seals it so that it's watertight.

3) The third layer is a thinner layer of unfinished cork that is about 1/8".  The overall thickness of the Natural Cork Floating floor is 1/2" and it requires no underlayment.

Advantages of the CLICK system:

  • Labor saving rapid installation
  • No need for messy adhesives
  • Tighter joints; less visible seams
  • Ability to remove planks for repair or relocation
  • Minimal visible effects of expansion and contraction

Unlike many floating floors, the Natural Cork Floating Floor system does not require any glue.  It utilizes the successful patented Uniclick system from Europe.  Just slide the pieces together and click them in place and you are finished forever.

The Uniclick system is so superior to the tongue and groove system in terms of joinery there is no need to apply any polyurethane to the surface in order to seal the seams.  The mechanical locking CLICK installation creates seams so tight that under normal use moisture will not penetrate the joints.

This is an actual photo of the Natural Cork floating floor Click system.
