Natural color pigments in red, yellow and ultramarine hues
Bioshield Spinell & Ultramarine Pigments are natural water-soluble and oil-soluble powders made from earth and mineral bases — a natural alternative to red, yellow and ultramarine paint tints. Add visual texture and create outstanding effects with Spinell & Ultramarine Pigments added to Bioshield Wall Glaze, Clay Paint and Aqua Resin Stain Finish.
NOTE: Because earth pigments are derived from natural bases, colors may vary from batch to batch; a consistent color hue cannot always be guaranteed. The Spinell & Ultramarine colors tend to have more consistency than the Earth Pigments or Italian Earth Pigments. Sample kits are available.
Why we like it
These mineral pigments are right out of the ground, all natural, potent and very colorful. They're a pleasure to work with, but require some skill to get just the right color. Be sure to test with small quantities as you can always add more.
We suggest that you strain with a fine strainer prior to use to get rid of any large chunks. We also suggest that you make extra large batches so there's some left over for future touch ups.
