Non-toxic, Zero VOC, All-in-one Exterior Wood Stain and Sealer

DuroGrit is a finish that colors and protects all exterior wood in one coat. It accomplishes this through a unique and innovative FibreGrit technology that adds cellulose wood fibers to a zero VOC water-soluble oil. This gives the oil a unique structure that makes it saturating, breathable and non-film forming. It also adds extreme abrasion resistance and UV protection that shields exterior wood from graying and makes it highly wear-resistant.

Like all Rubio Monocoat products, it emits zero VOCs and is made with no hazardous chemicals. It has been tested by several independent laboratories including Ecca and Eurofins. It meets the standards set by Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort Gold as well as GreenGuard Gold. In addition, it meets the strict requirements for safety in the Toy Standard EN71-3 as well as Food Contact Compliance. If you need more assurance, it also has been certified to the French A+ standard, the European M-1 standard and the official German U Label -DiBt.

Available in 14 translucent colors, DuroGrit stains offer a safe solution for all wood types and project types. NOTE: Rubio recommends cleaning the surface of older wood with their Exterior Wood Cleaner and lightly sanding any new wood to eliminate mill glaze. Pressure-treated wood must be allowed to weather for 12 months before application. Previously painted or stained products will need to be sanded off unless it is almost completely worn off. DuroGrit should be applied with a brush or roller and it could be sprayed as well. Please consult the application directions for more details.
