PermaBond primer for DeckRevive and ConcreteRevive
PermaBond is an acrylic-based polymer, especially formulated to penetrate and lock into wood fibers, providing a strong molecular bond for DeckRevive. PermaBond offers that extra bit of insurance against some of the unknowns that distressed wood may have been exposed to. It also provides a medium for ConcreteRevive to bond to previously painted or stained concrete. Priming with PermaBond ensures bondability with very weathered boards or coated concrete.
PLEASE NOTE: This is now REQUIRED by the manufacturer for each DeckRevive application over new OR old wood. It's also REQUIRED for ConcreteRevive over previously painted or stained concrete.
DeckRevive and ConcreteRevive are fantastic products, but if your deck is badly weathered and falling apart, and you don't have the time or money to sand it down to bare wood, or you've got painted or stained concrete, this is the best way to insure they will bond well. You still have to clean off dirt, mold and mildew, but PermaBond is extremely aggressive, and it bonds to almost anything porous.
