Non-toxic, zero VOC flooring adhesive with unlimited moisture protection
DriTac's 4141 The Golden Bullet is the ultimate multi-solution wood flooring adhesive for moisture and sound control. It's a premium, single component urethane adhesive designed for damp, noisy and hard to manage subfloors. This is not suited to vinyl, VCT, LVT.
The Golden Bullet contains zero VOCs, zero solvents and emits very low odor. It has been third-party certified by the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) as Green Label Plus for indoor air quality. Proper handling with gloves and mask is required to avoid excessive exposure during installation. However, once cured, there is no risk of exposure.
Manufactured in the USA, The Golden Bullet offers a lifetime warranty against moisture intrusion for engineered wood or bamboo, solid wood flooring without any restriction on width, length or thickness. It also offers the lowest perm rating in its category. DriTac is so confident in this product that they don't require any moisture testing of the subfloor prior to installation.
The Golden Bullet meets and/or exceeds all IIC and STC building code requirements for sound reduction. It provides superior sound control and also acts as a crack suppressant. It does not contain water and cleans easily when wet. It makes flooring installations possible that would otherwise require major expense and project delays. This is a one day, one step installation that would typically take two or three days to complete.
Like all adhesives, this requires a 100 lb roller to be used every two to three hours during and immediately after installation.
This is a game-changing, top-of-the-line product for DriTac and a life saver for anyone dealing with damp or noisy subfloor issues. Nothing compares to the performance of this product. And, like DriTac's other flooring adhesives, this has no VOCs or solvents.

Use On Material - Condition
Application Temperature Range
55 to 90 degrees
Provide adequate ventilation and air movement. Ideally, installation should not begin until all wet work (painting, dry wall materials, etc.) is complete and the heating/air conditioning system is in operation. Jobsite temperature should be between 55 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit and jobsite relative humidity should be between 35 and 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Trowel only the amount of adhesive that can be covered in 30 minutes. Install wood flooring into wet adhesive only. Occasionally check for transfer to back of wood flooring. If adhesive transfer is less than 100% to the back of the plank scrape up the adhesive and apply fresh DriTac 4141. Remove all defective or unsightly boards immediately. DriTac 4141 is very tenacious and flooring is difficult to remove after the adhesive has cured. Make sure wood flooring is in complete and total contact with the adhesive. Apply weight to any bowed flooring and all floor mounted trim moldings. Roll the floor with a 100 lb. roller every two to three hours during and immediately after installation.
Surface or Product Preperation
Recommended # of Coats
humidity will slow the curing process. Do not use on wet, contaminated or friable substrates. After 8 or 12 hours, light traffic is allowed. Only engineered plank can be installed below grade due to the limitations in solid wood flooring, such as lack of dimensional stability. Do not use as a leveling material. Do not use with gypsum based patches or underlayments in wet or moist environments. DriTac 4141 may be used with gypsum based patches and underlayments in dry, above grade installations with minimum compressive strengths greater than 2000 psi for engineered hardwood installation.
Appearance When Dry
CLEAN UP: remove excess DriTac 4141 as soon as possible before it dries on the flooring surface. Clean up as you go. Cured DriTac 4141 is very difficult to remove.
Never attempt to remove DriTac 4141 from tools or flooring with water as this will cause DriTac 4141 to cure more rapidly.
Remove residue before it dries with DriTac Urethane Adhesive Remover.
Clean DriTac 4141 from floor and tools while still wet wit
DriTac Urethane Adhesive Remover. If adhesive/sealer dries on floor finish carefully scrape excess DriTac 4141 with a plastic scraper. Avoid damaging the finish.
Touch up any scratched finish with wood flooring manufacturer’s repair finish.
