Forbo's Bulletin Board is made of an unusually dense type of cork that is 1/4" thick, unlike the thin inexpensive kind we are used to seeing on small hanging bulletin boards. This is a serious bulletin board material that will last a very long time.  But don't think of it only for tacking up your notices or pictures. It comes in a beautiful array of pastel colors to suit any designers palette and is often used as a warm wall covering that is functional for everything from play rooms to commercial public spaces to door panels and cupboards.

Construction: Bulletin Board is a Linoleum resilient homogeneous tackable surface material made of natural materials consisting of linseed oil, granulated cork, rosin binders, mixed and calendared onto a natural jute backing.  The color extends throughout the thickness of the material minimizing the effects of scratches and gouges.  Bulletin Board contains no harmful by-products or carcinogens.

Flexibility: Will not crack or break when bent around a 2 3/4" diameter cylinder.

Washable Finish: Bulletin Board's linoleum surface provides for a washable finish to retain original appearance.  The surface can be wiped or washed using any common pH neutral cleaning method (pH 7 - 8.5) such as AFM Super Clean.  Simply rinse with water after cleaning.  Does it really clean easily?  Yes it does.  One of our employees tested it on her child with the following results. We were all pleasantly surprised how easily the crayon marks disappeared.

Dimensional Stability: Due to the natural jute backing providing a strong durable foundation, the product is dimensionally stable in all directions when properly installed.  It resists cracking, drying, and peeling.

Self-Healing: Bulletin Board has the ability to self-heal from thumbtack and pin punctures.  It will not dry out, crack, peel, or crumble. Tacks can be inserted easily and are gripped firmly.

Resistance to Bacteria: Bulletin Board also provides a self-sanitizing quality in the form of a bactericidal effect.  Recent tests suggest that Bulletin Board has a sterile zone around the material inhibiting contaminants such as staphylococcus areas.
