Products Installation Experiments in Composting

Worm composting is an incredibly easy and efficient way to convert kitchen waste into nutrient-rich compost for your garden without any smell.
How Does It Work?
The Compost Factory is a unique system that allows food waste to be put into 3, 4, or 5 upper trays separating it from finished compost in the lower trays. Simply fill the bottom tray with red wiggler worms, bedding and food scraps. As the worms finish digesting, they will migrate upward into the tray above, leaving rich castings behind.
How Much Compost Will It Make?
In full operation using 5 trays, the Compost Factory houses 10,000 to 12,000 worms (approx 10 lb), consumes 5 to 8 pounds of food a day, allowing you to harvest a full tray of castings per month.
What Is It Made Of?
The Compost Factory is made in the U.S.A., constructed from high quality recycled plastic, with a limited 5 year warranty on materials and workmanship. The green version in made in China and is only available with 4 trays. It is very simple to assemble and can be stored inside or outside. Measures 16 X 16 X 28, height depends on number of trays used.
What Is Needed to Start? In addition to the Compost Factory shown above, all you need to start worm composting are:
1) Weed fabric (or any other non-disintegrating fabric) to line the insides of the trays to keep the worms from escaping and to keep the moisture flowing,
2) Coconut coir, included, a natural bedding for the worms to live in, and last but not least,
3) Red worms, ordered separately, special hungry worms that love to eat your garbage.
4) Food scraps right from your kitchen
