Now you don't have to design and create an eco-countertop because we've done it for you. Eight different pre-fabricated styles are ready for installation by your contractor in 1 1/2" thick sheets. Plus, we've created striking backsplashes that can be added as needed.
Prices per square foot range from $26.66 to $37.50. Compare this to granite or other eco countertops which are three to four times the price. Bamboo is not only beautiful and economical--it can be renewed by sanding if needed.
Construction
Years of experience crafting over one million cutting boards, has helped our manufacturer perfect the manufacturing process of thick, stable sheets that are incredibly beautiful and a green alternative to traditional wood counter tops.
Our countertop sheets are constructed with cross-band laminates called Multilam(TM) (patent pending). In early testing, we discovered that this is the ideal way to glue bamboo. This method keeps the sheet both flat and true, as well as lessens the tendency to twist or warp.
16% harder than maple, bamboo is clearly the best choice for durable countertop surfaces, as well as desks, shelving, furniture, etc.
The unique Multilam(TM) inner core has the additional benefit of providing a striking edge profile that is just as aesthetically pleasing as it is structurally vital, as seen below.
Multilam end grain can add a whole new asthetic look to your kitchen.

Formaldehyde Free Adhesives
These counter tops are laminated with a completely non-toxic, food grade, and most importantly, formaldehyde free adhesive. Our adhesive is so safe that you can even prepare food directly on the counter surface.
In 2004, the World Health Organization (WHO) re-designated formaldehyde-based glue as a proven human carcinogen. Formaldehyde glue is commonly used in the plywood and particle board manufacturing process, because of its cheap cost and helps production due to its fast set up time. The huge disadvantage to the consumer is that it continues to "off gas" dangerous fumes for years.
In an effort to promote healthy, safe products, it is our continual mission to provide only the safest and highest quality products that can be manufactured. And that's why you'll never find formaldehyde based adhesives in any of our bamboo products.

Installation
Sheets come unfinished and sanded to 180 grit; ready to be spliced together for a kitchen island or installed as counter tops. You can router the edge profiles to suit your individual kitchen style. We recommend sealing the counter tops with any of the excellent finishes currently on the market. You can simply use mineral oil, or as a natural alternative, AFM Naturals Oil, Bioshield Herbal Oil, or AFM Polyureseal BP. Vegetable oil or olive oil is not recommended as it can leave a unpleasant odor.

Splashes
We offer beautifully designed inlay back splashes with cap pieces in either caramelized Flat Grain or Vertical Grain. This design is also available without the inlay, or as ¾" x 4" x 96" planks in caramelized Flat Grain or Vertical Grain that you can customize yourself.
Warranty
We use all-natural material, and as so, the material will have natural variations in its coloration from plank to plank. Even though we make every effort to match color consistency as close as possible, we are not responsible for all planks being identically matched. In the event that the color consistency is not to your satisfaction, you are free to return the sheet to us in the same condition as you received it and your order will be refunded. There will be no restocking fee, but you will be responsible for all shipping expenses. Additionally, we are not responsible for any costs or expenses incurred during installation or removal of defective pieces due to warping, splitting or any other reasons.
