Seals substrate and provides tooth for plaster application
Sanded Primer Elite is an excellent, non-toxic primer with a sharp sand aggregate. It's critical for all walls, particularly outside corners where two coats of primer are recommended. Sanded Primer Elite properly seals all substrates, creating a smooth, consistent surface.
Although any good isolating primer and sand combination may be substituted, the sharp sand in this product is quite different from most concrete or playground sand. It provides the ideal grip so you can use less plaster over more area.
Why we like it
While you can make your own, it's usually never as good as this primer/sand combination. It's a great primer with just the right amount and type of sand, with no odor or off-gassing.
