Stainless steel and plastic trowels for application and finishing

High-quality Japanese trowels are ideal for applying American Clay Plaster. These are what the pros use. The trowels come in stainless steel or plastic; flexible or rigid options and in 210, 240, and 300 mm sizes for small to large hands.

Use a large, rigid, square trowel for work on a base coat to cover a large area very quickly. Use a smaller pointed trowel for finishing work; it easily cuts into corners and effortlessly creates a delicate finish.

We recommend a plastic trowel for burnishing as it won't leave silver marks. We also recommend it when applying American Clay Porcelina — it'll be easier to achieve a smooth even result.
