All-natural pigment for tinting American Clay Plaster
American Clay Color Packs are pre-measured bags of natural mineral pigments that are designed to be added to American Clay Earth Plaster (Loma, Porcelina, Marittimo, or Enjarre). There are 43 different color packs that can be combined to make 110 beautiful colors. By adding 1 or more color packs to a bag of American Clay plaster you can create a beautiful array of Grays, Greens, Blues and Purples, Browns, Yellows and Oranges, Reds and Pinks, Brights and Deep and Darks.
You can also mix and match if none of these catch your eye. That means adding more or less pigment to a bag of plaster. Just be extremely precise when measuring the ingredients so the 'formula' can be re-created if need be. Note: each color looks slightly different when added to one of the four different American Clay finishes and especially different in different lighting.
Tip: To test out how a color looks on a wall, use a 2-pound pre-mixed bag of pigment and plaster. This will provide a very close approximation of what the product will look and feel like in a small 4-square foot area. American Clay will also custom color match by special order. If you wish to lighten or darken a color, be scientific about measuring and test, test, test before using on the entire wall. Play with these and have some fun!
