Non-toxic adhesive designed for use on Kahrs floating floors
Kahrs Landobond Adhesive is a specially formulated non-toxic adhesive designed especially for the expansion and contraction of floating floors. It is exceptionally strong, yet more flexible than most wood glues. Kahrs has spent years developing this glue to meet the unique demands of its flooring, consequently no other glues compare in performance. Coverage is about 235 SF assuming a 7" wide plank.
NOTE: Although most new models of Kahrs floors don't require glue, some tongue and groove styles still exist which require this adhesive. Kahrs only warrants these tongue and groove floating floors if this type of glue is used.
There are situations where you must remove the woodlock feature and glue boards together. When this happens, this is the glue to use.
Why we like it
Most of the wood glues on the market work very well at sticking wood to wood. However, when wood repeatedly expands and contracts, each piece pulls on the other and can eventually split the wood. Kahrs not only invented floating floors, but they invented this glue to be flexible enough to expand so that the wood will not split apart.
