Structural adhesive and sealant
M-1 is a versatile construction adhesive and sealant for interior or exterior use. Made for industrial roofing, it works in damp, dry and cold climates down to 30 °F. It won't discolor with UV light and is capable of joint movement in excess of 25% in both compression and extension. M-1 has a 20-minute skin-over time, is paintable within 24 hours, is totally non-toxic and has very low odor!
This is truly a heavy-duty adhesive/sealant. Chemlink's M-1 bonds well to most construction materials including EPDM, SBS mod bit, aluminum, galvanized metal, engineered plastics, PVC, glass, fiberglass, FRP, wood, EIFS, block, brick, EPS foam, concrete and stone.
M-1 is very similar to Chemlink Novalink, an all-weather construction sealant. M-1 has lower viscosity, shorter skin-over time, higher shear strength and bonds to a few more materials. M-1 is perfect for more heavy-duty jobs. It's really a structural adhesive as well as a sealant.
Why we like it
M1 is very similar to NP1, a urethane adhesive, except it has less odor and cleans up much easier. This is a product you can rely on for years to come.

| Surface or Product Preperation | Surface should be clean, dry and free from all contamination including: dirt, oils, grease, tar, wax, rust and any other substance that may
inhibit the sealants performance. DO NOT use petroleum solvents such as mineral spirits or xylene to clean your surface before using this product. Instead, remove all dirt, oil, loose paint, frost and other contaminates with alcohol. Horizontal applications will require tooling. Allow treated wood to cure for six months prior to application. Do not use in areas subject to continuous immersion of water or chemicals. Do not use on TPO without Chemlink TPO Primer. |
