Carpet and rug shampoo
SafeChoice Carpet Shampoo is a non-toxic, odorless, rug and carpet shampoo that acts as both a strong cleaner and odor remover for new or existing synthetic carpets. It even removes toxic insect and dirt repellents sprayed on by the manufacturer.
SafeChoice Carpet Shampoo is part of AFM's Comprehensive 3-Part Carpet Shampoo and Sealing System, although, unlike the other two parts of the system, it can be used on its own.
Why we like it
This is an excellent non-toxic cleaner; however, most people use it with Lock Out and Carpet Seal to reduce their new carpet smell. It takes some elbow grease and patience, but it works well.

Description
Use: Suitable for all synthetic carpets and rugs. Because of variations in materials and production processes used by different manufacturers, you should always spot test to insure compatibility with your carpet. Wool fibers generally do not react well to water based products, so SafeChoice Carpet Shampoo is not recommended for wool.
Coverage: Light cleaning - 3 fluid ounces. Medium cleaning - 5 fluid ounces. Heavy cleaning - 8 fluid ounces. One gallon of diluted solution will clean approximately 300 square feet.
Eco-friendly: Does not contain harmful chemicals like ammonia, butyl ethers, alcohols, phosphates, caustics or acids. It is not toxic, non-corrosive, non-flammable and biodegradable. It does not irritate hands or skin.
