Paper-based backsplash material for kitchen and bath
Richlite recycled paper backspashes are installed above or behind a kitchen countertop to prevent splashing or spilling of water or other substances down the wall. Like Richlite recycled countertops, Richlite backsplashes are created by treating FSC-certified paper with a phenolic resin, and then baking it to create solid sheets.
Richlite backsplashes are heat, stain and scratch-resistant, and are easily shaped, installed and repaired by professionals with standard woodworking tools.
Made in the US with sustainable post-consumer recycled materials that are non-toxic and eco-friendly, Richlite is an excellent alternative to solid surface plastics or imported stone.
Why we like it
Richlites countertops and backsplashes are similar to PaperStone, but offer different sizes and colors, and they seem to be easier to fabricate. Originally designed for use in skateboard parks, this product holds up to lots of abuse. It looks beautiful in contrast to light-colored cabinetry and has a patina that gets better over time. It requires some regular maintenance, but not much. There are numerous ways to use this product, and they all look great and work well for a long time.
